Breakthrough on how Giraffes Talk
“Do you know giraffes communicate infrasonically?”
“No, but if you hum a few bars, maybe I can fake it.”
Although t was always well know giraffes have a voice box, they never use it, seemingly only to grunt once in a while. Scientists from the University of Vienna, after some fairly exhaustive research in a number of zoos, have discovered giraffes may produce sound and vocalizations in the infrasonic range. Infrasonic sounds are well below the ability of human hearing.
