44 Years after the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, a bill before Congress would protect the Moon Landing Site as a historical park. In fact, all 6 moon landings would also be protected. The “H.R.2617- Apollo Lunar Landing Legacy Act” intends to preserve all the moon landing sites as artifacts, in an attempt to regulate their destruction. The bill is also looking for “World Heritage Site” status from the United Nations.

So apparently our government has waaaay too much time on its hands. Should we be wasting valuable time in Congress worrying about parking spaces on the Moon?
