Neil Armstrong Dies Tribute cartoon
“Neil Armstrong : 1930-2012 1st man on the moon Continuing his journey into the great unknown”
Neil Armstrong, the first man on the Moon, died Saturday at age 82. His famous quote, ” One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”, was heard around the world on July 20, 1969. Armstrong was the pilot of the Apollo 11 spacecraft with co-pilot Buzz Aldrin. He was the first of a total of 12 astronauts who also walked on the moon between 1969 and the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
In today’s cartoon, astronaut Neil Armstrong is seen in his space suit, in space above the Earth, nearly touching fingers with GOD as in the famous “The Creation of Adam” , a section of the Sistine Chapel fresco by Michelangelo.
